Academy of Science of Moldova(ASM) is the highest scientific association in the country and represents the public body of national interest in science and innovation. Academy of Science of Moldova Assembly consists of 107 members representing universities and research institutes of the Republic of Moldova. Special attention has been paid to expanding and developing cooperative relations with universities, ministries and internal units, relevant contracts are signed, and various forms of cooperation are available.

The Academy of Science of Moldova was founded on 1946. This university is located in Chisinau city. The university currently has 48 full members, 61 executive members and 43 honorary members. The Executive Board is represented by a Board of Directors under the chairmanship of the President. Currently the academy consists of 4 scientific departments: Mathematical Sciences, Physics and Engineering. life sciences, chemistry, and agriculture; The humanities, social and economic sciences, and medical sciences, including the institutes and science centers of the Academy.

One of the strategies of Academy of Science of Moldova is to develop and strengthen international scientific relations, to maintain bilateral relations with scientific academies and scientific organizations of many countries, to conclude scientific cooperation agreements and integration measures in the European Research Area. And it is being promoted in the global scientific community. This university cooperates with international institutions such as Academia Europaea, ALLEA, UNESCO, the Academy of Sciences and Arts (Salzburg) and others.
