The Moldova state university, formerly known as the Chisinau university, is one of the most prestigious and elite universities in Moldova. This university is one of the oldest and the most important universities of the country. The university was established in 1946 under the supervision of Soviet educational council in Moscow. The house of culture consists of concert halls, theaters and auditoriums. There are several scholarships awarded every 6 months by the university to some of the students too. These scholarships cover up to %70 of students expenses every year.

The university provides accommodation to its students too. There are 10 student complexes inside the campus with different rooms and amenities. Almost 1500 students can take abode in these 10 student dormitories. All buildings include laundromats, kitchens and also internet access.
