The Nicole Testemitanu state medical university is one of the oldest universities in the republic of Moldova. The university was initially located in Leningrad (former name of ST. Petersburg in Russia). During the second world war, the city was evacuated and the university, with all its staff and students were moved to Chisinau. Today, the university is located at the capital city of Moldova, Chisinau. Since the early days of university’s reestablishment in Chisinau, it started to work on different medical areas and only a couple of years later, a research center was established.
